PlayStation Network (PSN) users got hit by an outage on Friday which did not allow them to manage accounts, play online, or use social services like PlayStation Video and Store. Sony updates their PSN status and notes that the outage affects almost every service including the Direct website.
What Affects PSN Outage Microsoft
According to Sony, users may have PlayStation network issues in launching games, opening apps, or using network features. Now, many users are left alone without the ability to play their preferred games, interact with friends or enjoy their collections.
In a post on the Ask PlayStation X account, a Sony spokesperson stated: “We are aware that some users may be currently experiencing issues with PSN.” The tweet was sent around 8:46 PM ET. The company once again reassured that they are actively trying to fix the problem, and to do so as soon as possible.
Real Impact On Gamers
Users sense the outage in different reports. A PS5 owner stated that they could not load any of the purchased digital games and were unable to check trophy levels or even friends list. One user tried playing Fortnite on their PS5 around 11:45 PM ET but was given an error stating he could not log in.
